| .....On a typical spring day, long awaited rays of golden energy bathe the earth, gently warming our soul and beckoning for us to peel off the many layers of winter. Then in the next breath the sun will taunt us from behind a cloud and leave us shivering in a cool breeze. Glorious spring! What greater season to demonstrate the power of nature and the energy behind regeneration? Just look around you and you will see Mother Nature waking up after a long winters nap. Trees are bursting with new foliage, fruit trees are in blossom, and gardens are coming alive with the early produce of the season. |
 |
.....Take some time each day to connect with nature. You may just find yourself sitting on the beach watching seagulls or out for a strenuous hike up a nearby mountain. Whatever your pleasure, when we tune into Mother Nature we can tune out other influences. Fill your lungs deeply with fresh air. Belly breathe! Oxygenate your bloodstream. Feel it nourishing the cells and energizing your system.
.....Take some time for some personal TLC. Bodywork such as massage, acupuncture, reflexology, acupressure and many other forms of alternative therapies are beneficial in keeping |

Everywhere you look you see signs of growth, rebirth, transformation.
.....Often the shorter days of winter lull us into a state of idle comfort. The circle of life slows down. It is siesta time for Mother Nature and we can’t help but be affected by it on some level. Our batteries are not quite as charged up as they could be.
Spring brings an awakening and just like the bear, we rise up from our winter slumber. In theory we should be energized and refreshed. Ready to leap tall mountains in a single bound. No wait…that would be someone who wears tights and likes telephone booths! But you should at least be able to make it through the day without severe "jetlag". If your vitality is dwindling after the long winter months, these ideas might help to bolster your reserves.
.....Start with some housecleaning on the dietary level. Lighten up the menu for a few weeks. Some nourishing broths, fresh vegetable salads and light meals. You may even wish to try a short fast. Keep in mind that light duty would be better suited to fasting especially this time of year.
.....Remember that our thoughts are like magnets. Like attracts like. When the mind is always dwelling on negativity, the negative energy will have an influence on the whole circuit. And this won't be a "positive" influence. It will have a draining effect. Be especially aware of your thoughts and realize that your energy has an effect on a global scale. Just like throwing a pebble in a pond and watching the ripple effect. Know that what you put out there will often come back to you. |

our energy systems in balance. Think of your body like a giant circuit board and each joint, organ, muscle or membrane as a transformer. It’s a bit of a stretch but can you get the picture? When there is pain or inflammation in any one area, it creates an energy block. The circuit is down. Bodywork can help to release the blocks and keep the energy moving. The same thing happens on a deeper level when a specific organ is working too hard or becomes sluggish. The system is thrown out of balance and energy is not used efficiently. The impact will be felt in other areas of your life. If any one part of the whole is stressed, it will affect the whole.
.....Meditation, prayer, reflection. Talk to God or just plug into the universe, taking some time on a regular basis to quiet the mind has been shown to be beneficial in noticeably reducing the effects of everyday stress. Blood pressures lower, sleep patterns balance out, a greater sense of well-being permeates the soul. And with that – comes more energy!
.....We are so used to reaching for a quick fix to relieve fatigue. Sleeping pills will knock us out. Stimulants like coffee will pick us up for a short time only to let us crash back down until the next fix. Over time, this can actually place stress on our glandular system which will just create a snowball effect on your general state of health. Don’t look for your energy to come in a bottle or a pill. Keep your circuits free and open and spring into action!.....
Good Health to You! |
